Candy & Our Winner!

Hello my darlings! Yes, that’s right, I am 5/6 through my exams (WOOP WOOP), with my final one being exactly 2 weeks away, so maybe I can sneak in 2 posts by then?

I promise to try, and to start commenting again on your blogs which I miss so much! :D

Before I announce the winner to my giveaway from the last post (get excited :D), here is a very sweet infograph for you to enjoy, featuring the very familiar blogging talents of Marcela De Vivo, who is a permanent welcome guest here at Go Bake Yourself, considering she offers to guest post so often!

Also, just before I sweep off again, in case any of you are wondering, my new blog website is definitely underway and I am loving it, so I hope you will too! I can’t wait for all of you to join me there :D

Sometimes itís soft and tacky. Other times itís hard and smooth. And regardless of whether it melts in your mouth or you hands, it always tastes sweet. Thatís right, Iím talking about candy! (What else could I possibly be discussing?) ;)

We’ve all heeded the siren song of glorious candy whether itís chocolate bars or caramel chews or jelly beans or licorice. My sugar lust is so strong that store bought options are no longer enough for me (I like this so much!).
I had to find a way to make my own!
I know you’re thinking, it’s too complicated, it requires too many weird ingredients, it requires a candy thermometer and who knows how badly I can burn myself with molten sugar. Never fear: with the right recipes and a little bit of courage, you too can easily make your own candy at home. Why bother?

1) You can invent the brand-new habanero pistachio chocolate truffle youíve always dreamed of,

2) you control the ingredients, which means healthier options, and

3) kitchen cred.

The recipes featured in this infographic by Candy Concept Inc. creates delectable delights that rival Willy Wonka’s private stash. Whisper some sweet somethings to yourself by trying these recipes.

Is that not the coolest image ever? So many candy ingredients in one, easy to find location! Thank you Marcela :D

Now no one has any excuse to be buying candy (how overrated! :P)

I would now like to announce the randomly picked winner for this fabulous giveaway, where you will be winning Finish Powerball to ensure your dishes come out sparkling!

  1. The infographic is incredible. I used to make a lot of candy at Christmas and had my favorite recipes. But that was a long time ago and I kind of forgot all about how much fun that was! You’ve reminded me. :-) I hope the exams are going well…and that you’re finally near the end!

  2. That’s such a cool image, Uru. If I weren’t so darn lazy, I would totally make my own candy all the time. Good luck with the last of your exams and I can’t wait to see your new site.
