Topsy Turvy Australia Day

A little bit of a twist on the most delicious traditional treat Australians have shared with the world. Who would have thought spongecake, chocolate and coconut would be such a magical combination?

An Australian, that’s who :)

The spongecake is dense, but soft and rich, and when it melts onto your tongue along with the white chocolate, you melt right with it – just like any dessert should make you!

Getting S’more Out Of Life + Giveaway! (Closed)

Bonjour tout le monde, I am finally back! After a slew of incredible guest posts, it is nice to be back behind my screen typing away! And today, I feel a bit like Santa as well so throughout this post, I may be belting out HO HO HOOOOOO periodically!  :D

Now as you all know, the holiday season is quite literally looming on the horizon. The christmas wreaths adorn every corner of every shopping centre, along with giant trees dripping in baubles. Candy canes and advent calendars are all I see when I shop, and in every cafe, there are hunking pieces of christmas cake being sold, some so hard you could break your teeth.

Aaah… classic holiday season. :)

But the month of December, at least here down under, also means heat. Temperatures exceeding 40 degrees C (AC time anyone?) and humidity that wraps around you to almost suffocate you at times, till the rain comes down and washes it away for a few hours. But along with the heat, comes the summer holidays. And everyone knows summer holidays means going out, into said heat, and busting out the picnic table, the golden gaytimes, the cricket bats and the aeroguard protection.

I am looking into getting it fixed but till then, I promise I am still visiting and loving every minute! Be sure to check your box and unspam me though!! If I have liked your post, most probably a comment will be in your spam :P

Guest Post: Baking Perfection

I’m sorry I have been so off the radar with commenting lately (it is usually my procrastination) but this exam period, I have dedicated myself to cramming for two tests in the next two days, and a giant bowl of popcorn with ‘Under the Dome’ :P

So close to freedom yet so far…

But instead of lamenting over my upcoming demise, I would like to share with you guys an amazing as blogger who has the baking skills of a king. Ok, maybe not a king because kings usually didn’t cook but um… how about the baking skills of the Muffin Man who lives on Drury Lane?

Cos if this guy made gingerbread men, they would definitely come to life with all that flavour! Anyways, enjoy his fabulous (as you have already seen) macarons! I am salivating sitting here!

Guest Post: My Inner Chick

Hi lovelies! Guess what? I just finished my first exam! And I am not going to think about it and cry/hysterically laugh! Instead, I am going to put all my energy into trying to mentally take this amazing recipe out of my computer screen for a late night of eating and movies :P

I mean… study for my next exams… obviously… *oops*

Who do I have on Go Bake Yourself today? You may not really be wondering considering the title, but still, dramatic effect has to count for something no?

Once again, we thank you for flying via Air Guru and hope you have an entertaining flight.

Today I have a special treat for you! I am going to give you a look into the lives of a couple of bloggers, one in my hometown and one far far faaaar away! Both equally talented and wonderful, this idea is part of the ‘Cross Country Culinary Tour.’

A Quiet Post

To all those having commenting issues, I’m sorry – I have sent your screen shots and messages onto the people managing my blog and hopefully it will be resolved soon! Plug-ins and all can be crazy :P
Thank you for being so patient though!!

And I actually totally owed you all the final part of my USA Party series, butttt I need some photos from my daddy (who is a seriously awesome amateur photographer… kind of contradictory because how can you be amateur if you are so good?) – so, not that I just buttered him up or anything (:P), hopefully I will be able to write that up soon!

Before I start my usual ramblings in this post, I would like to tell all you wonderful people who mentally sent me down the cold after my rant last post, that it worked! Because right now, it is raining outside with no blue skies for miles around me :D
Yay! I hope I returned the favour and sent the heat steaming towards you all!

And if it wasn’t you… then I can only assume Mother Nature is drunk.

And because I cannot bake my butt off right now, I would like you to enjoy a huge range of wonderful guest posters especially chosen just for you!

So close to the end of school, I can taste it! Au revoir mes cheris!

Paula is one of the most creative bloggers I have the pleasure of knowing, with her professional photography style and some of the best dishes I have ever seen and could never hope to make! :)

That is why it is so nice to have Paula back again, with another pound cake dessert (she really does love that cake!) but completely twisted into a gooey trifle perfect for summer! Thanks Paula :D
