It is officially socialising time – parties, gatherings, theme parks and just chilling well… everywhere! I have been baking a little but give me a week more and I will return 😀
Just a note though to all you lovely people, my comments have for some reason been going into spam for a LOT of your blogs! I am looking into getting it fixed but till then, I promise I am still visiting and loving every minute! Be sure to check your box and unspam me though!! If I have liked your post, most probably a comment will be in your spam 😛
Anyways, so now we have two more guest posts left, and I would love to introduce you all to Anna from ShenANNAgans! A mix of fabulous recipes, life stories and classy events with a massive douse of humour each time, her blog is one of my favourites!
Enjoy! 😀
shenANNAgans is Anna Johnston, a 30 – something Aussie gal with an unwavering passion for the Hospitality industry.
I love the quirky and unusual, designing events, travelling far and wide and eating food (not soooo much the cooking food bit these days) from all around the world. I am coffee blooded, a craft beer enthusiast, wine drinking yogi who enjoys writing about her adventures.
I kicked my hospitality career off in the kitchens of the National Convention Centre in Canberra, where I trained as an apprentice chef & fell in love with function work. After a decade in the kitchen, I packed away my cheffies & followed the sweet lure of Hotel & Event Management. Cooking professionally was a great experience & it certainly opened the door to lots of fun working holidays abroad but I can’t begin to tell you how wonderful it was to dress like a girl again.
Now, as the Events Manager at the National Press Club of Australia, if I’m not spending time with clients designing their dream wedding, live broadcast or gala event, you’ll find me hanging out ‘behind the scenes’, probably with a plate of food in front of me, creating stories for my website – www.shenannagans.com
When Uru (one of my fave bloggers) was looking for foodies to guest post on Go Bake Yourself and I put my hand up to feature, I straight away thought of this super simple, and tasty treat that even the big kids go gaga over. For me, this time of year is hectic as we zoom towards Christmas, the Hospitality industry kicks into the next gear, we are in full swing with weddings, end of year parties and even a mad rush to book and finalise events for the New Year. Its really difficult for me to find time to fit in all the things I like to do, as well get my cheffie on to cook Chrissy foodie gifts (because nothing says I love you more, than a little home cooked something, right?!) for friends and family.
These beauties have a bit of wow factor, without too much preparation or effort required, they are the perfect sweet treat for the time poor. A winning combo in my ‘cook’ books.
White Chocolate Truffles
Ingredients
- 250g Mini Marshmallows
- 225g White Chocolate, melted
- 1/2 cup coloured sprinkles or 100’s & 1000’s
Method
- Combine marshmallows, with melted white chocolate, gently stirring to evenly coat the marshmallow.
- Using a table spoon, form balls. Gently shake off excess chocolate.
- Place marshmallow balls on sheets of waxed paper, gently roll the balls in the sprinkles until evenly coated.
- Let stand at room temperature for 2 hours or until chocolate is firm.

Thanks heaps Uru, it is an absolute privilege to be able to hang out on your blog today.
