A Very Merry Holiday With A Hot Fudge Sundae

Well, here we are at the end of 2011. What has happened for me?

  • I started this blog (YAY)’
  • I had my year 10 formal (woohoo!)
  • I turned 16 (the age of party, driving etc.)
  • I explored and became part of my baking – it is no longer a hobby, it is in my blood 🙂

Sounds like a pretty satisfying year to me? But what about you my dear readers – this year came and went so quickly – what happened for all of you? A marriage, a family addition? A celebration of some sort?

I am sure that whatever happened, 2011 was a year of goodwill, cheer and fabulous times for all of you – how else could it possibly have gone so fast?

Diwali Baking #4

I have a tendency to go overboard. Whether it be decorating, amount of time spent on hair, listening to a single song. I always go overboard.

While this may not always be a good thing, it certainly is in cooking. I go overboard with the amount of time I spend on cooking, the amount of time I recipe hunt and I am generous in regards to essences and add-ins. This is what made this cake such a good choice. And I think I can definitely go overboard for the family receiving it. They are awesome (and have a very adorable dog :))

Easter = Chocolate = Mousse And Eggs

Actually Written: 29th April 2011

Wow, a Coles recipe worth hugging to your heart! This cake was made to
(and totally did) show the enormous number of Aunties and Uncles who show up for the annual house party just how
much you’ve grown without the awkward questions, the inevitable ‘school must be
getting serious speech’ and the occasional body check given by the Aunties very
close to you.

You know how this cake avoids all that? Well geez, how can you
miss it? The cake looks awesome, almost resonates with mouse-ly fluffiness and
did I add the fact that it’s chocolate? Totally an attention stealer!
