For once, I am totally not going to beat around the bush, so guys… this is why I’ve been so busy…

I’M GOING TO LIVE IN BOSTON FOR THE REST OF THE YEAR!!!

It’s been my dream LITERALLY since year 8 to go on exchange, and for the past year, I’ve been planning it through my university’s exchange program. I was planning a year but a whole semester of travelling, meeting people and getting a full American college life experience? I am totally fine with that!

The Big V Day Musings

This recipe isn’t necessarily just for Valentines Day. I mean, as much as I hate to admit it, not everyone holds the capacity to eat a whole batch of cupcakes. No, not even me. But if you are one person, and you can make two moist, chocolatey cupcakes with just enough frosting to decorate it AND spoon the extra, why make any more?

The sweet, berry-filled frosting combined with the delicious richness of the cupcakes really does take these to a whole new level. If you are making them for Valentines Day though, I worn you. You might not be able to share it with your soul mate… legit. If they aren’t your soul mate, I wouldn’t even consider sharing them.

Virtually Silent

This decadent chocolate creations hides a surprise of strawberries stuffed between layers of moist, rich and crumby cake. The frosting was probably my favourite part of the recipe, being easy to spoon… I mean whip up… and it envelopes the strawberries in a warm chocolatey hug.

Then you get to devour it all.

A Party To Remember

Can I just rewind the clock and take it back to Christmas time of 2014? Can I take you back to reminisce about all that overeating and indulgent gift giving we all participated in for this post?

I was meant to do this post nice and close to New Years but then I saw running behind schedule, then I went to the Gold Coast and well… now I think I am on track!

I know it is not going to be a hardship or anything for you to turn back time again! Your Instagrams totally showed me how much fun you all were having!

And maybe… you saw mine?

Marathoning

Don’t Forget to enter my giveaway!

(Australians only sorriiiiie!)

Ok… now I can continue my post 🙂

I just coined the word.

Jokes, everyone uses it, in fact there is no red squiggly line under it, but I’d like to believe I was one of the first. Because I use it so much now you know? imagination truly is a gift.

Anyways, so you all should be proud of me, because your small not-so-little baker girl is marathoning. That’s right, I have signed up for… one, two, three…. 5 different marathons! I know right??? I can’t even believe myself!

Getting S’more Out Of Life + Giveaway! (Closed)

Bonjour tout le monde, I am finally back! After a slew of incredible guest posts, it is nice to be back behind my screen typing away! And today, I feel a bit like Santa as well so throughout this post, I may be belting out HO HO HOOOOOO periodically! 😀

Now as you all know, the holiday season is quite literally looming on the horizon. The christmas wreaths adorn every corner of every shopping centre, along with giant trees dripping in baubles. Candy canes and advent calendars are all I see when I shop, and in every cafe, there are hunking pieces of christmas cake being sold, some so hard you could break your teeth.

Aaah… classic holiday season. 🙂

But the month of December, at least here down under, also means heat. Temperatures exceeding 40 degrees C (AC time anyone?) and humidity that wraps around you to almost suffocate you at times, till the rain comes down and washes it away for a few hours. But along with the heat, comes the summer holidays. And everyone knows summer holidays means going out, into said heat, and busting out the picnic table, the golden gaytimes, the cricket bats and the aeroguard protection.
