“Too Much Fun” Hangover

Just before I start, I really would appreciate a few guest posts for my exam period in November! Email me at gobakeyourself@yahoo.com.au if you are interested, I would LOVE to feature you all 😀

Ok lovely people, you know how my posts usually go on and on and on for days on end? This post is going to be like that because I. Am. Exhausted.

Beyond exhausted, keeping my eyes open is actually quite a feat right now. Not even kidding!

Why? Because I have just had my uni break (only a week, mind you!) and instead of catching up on all the work I promised myself I would, I have been the time of my life.

Hence the exhaustion.

Let’s see now, shall we? There was the visit to Three Williams to kick off the holidays. Back then, I was still like ‘I have a week to do all my assignments and readings, I will be fine!’ – Funny. I didn’t really start working till Saturday…

Jokes, Sunday. As in, two days ago. And now I am writing my post so you can see I have progressed far 😛 But anyways

Birthday CCU Undercover: Little Rock Cafe

NB: This post says it was posted on the 12th of August but it was the 13th in Australia 😀

CCU woke up, a grin widening from ear to ear. She was 17, the big 1-7? Naah, just 17 😀 – the big one would be coming in a year but she was so not going to think of that!
She didn’t feel different, nor did she feel particularly older but OMG, she was 17 and she felt very very excited 😀 😀 😀

To celebrate son anniversaire, she [had her daddy ;)] treat her whole family to a wonderfully big and luscious breakfast. Toast dripping with butter, pancakes… what else could a girl want to turn 17 with???

Happy Birthday Baba 2011

Today was a very special  day – my grandpa grew one year older 🙂
Everyone loves birthdays and my grandpa is someone who doesn’t seem to ever spoil himself – this year I decided to spoil him for him! (Not that I didn’t last year with that Carrot Cake of mine :P)

Anyway, it is not easy I suppose to spoil him though because chocolate is a very rare treat which he enjoys off occasion, but usually not a lot of. And if you know anything about me, by now which you do, I have to say that my most decadent dishes are essentially all chocolate based (perhaps my secret OCD – no, not secret I agree…)

18So then I went to my greatest source, Exclusively Food, to find a non-chocolate recipe which was still decadent and worth spoiling my sweet granddaddy with and surprisingly, came away with this fruity, one bowl (so to speak) and quite light dessert: An Apple Blueberry Crumble Cake.

10 Minute Microwave Apple Crumble

Actually Written: 22nd September 2011

I am a lazy person
There, I admit it. What are you going to do about it? Admit it. Sometimes waiting for an oven seems like a lifetime, especially when your batter is slowly decreasing in amount… That is where the microwave comes in.

Now I make many microwave desserts. A brilliant 5 minute chocolate cake, cheesecake and want to try brownies. The only thing that has failed is a peanut butter cookie. I want to add this to my repertoire. Simple, perfect and beautiful to eat.

This crumble is warm and tender and reminds me of a big hug at 12 midnight!
