Perspective

You know sometimes I have to question why I am still blogging? Have you, all you wonderful bloggers out there, ever felt like that? Sometimes I feel like I am blogging not for myself, not for my love of baking, but to give the audience what I perceive they want.

I have to stop then.

I have to take a step back and survey my surroundings. Blogging for me is not a career choice, it is quite literally, a hobby. Some people pay for dance classes? I pay to keep a website running. Some people decide to go out every night. Some nights, I prefer my pyjamas and baking 😛

So why is it that sometimes, I feel pressured to post? I hate the feeling of forced typing, where my words don’t flow, and I don’t put my diary-talk into a post. Can you tell the difference? Though for the most part, I will be honest with you and provide a bigger slew of food porn than usual instead of words 😉

Happy Easter 2014!!!

I love Easter. Really, I truly just love this holiday 🙂

Christmas is awesome, Diwali is beautiful, but coming from someone who is nicknamed Choc Chip Uru, Easter is my heaven!!!

If it isn’t already obvious, it is because I am given a 4 day weekend of a holiday to enjoy eating chocolate. Since I am not religious, that is what, on base value, Easter means to me 😀

And I have some amazing memories associated with this festival! I mean,when chocolate is involved 24 hours a day for 4 days of the week, how can it not be right?

CCU Undercover: Four Friends – Coffee, Chocolate & Tea

CCU looked over the array of chocolates lining the shelf, glimmering with untold flavours, begging to be eaten. She noted the macaron tower, the dusting of glitter sparkling under the rays of light filtering in through the windows.

‘I could get used to this…’ she thought to herself, as she ambled around the shop, taking photos and enjoying the aroma of chocolate surrounding her. 

She had no idea that out of this experience, she would be receiving a lot more than just a wonderful chocolate afternoon tea…

Have you ever experienced an epiphany? Met someone who made you wonder, question and think about life from a whole other perspective you thought might not even exist anymore?

In a world as corporate and money-minded as the one we live in today, it truly is now a dog-eat-dog-world. All the old sayings, such as ‘nice guys finish last’ are actually true and we have multinational corporations taking over small businesses and honing them to be money-making machines. However, I realised that  as a result of this mass profiting venture, the quality is compromised and we, as their customers, get used to it, not questioning it, because advertising sells it as the best.
