HALLOWEEN!

We’re all friends. I mean look at us, hanging around, doing whatever, watching the ridiculously scary new Pretty Little Liars episodes on a usual Saturday night.

All good fun, no problems, lots of food and a great night.

That is how hanging out with friends usually is, honestly, don’t get me wrong. But on Halloween, things start to happen. It usually starts with ‘something evil lurking in the dark’, and then when you turn around, ‘you see a sigh that almost stops your heart’

Finally Found A Positive For Spam

So I had quite a bit of free time lately, god knows how but I am not going to question it, and it gave me time to contemplate the important things of life.

Then I looked at my clock and only 10 minutes had gone by, though in my thoughts it had been hours. Cool 🙂
So then I started to contemplate ridiculous nonsense scenarios, events and general craziness which, I don’t know about you, always seems to take up the majority of my day dream sessions 🙂

Think Pink!

We have so many celebratory options in October it seems it is not even funny. Any type of celebration you want seems to be available in this month which kind of makes it really awesome. If I be brutally honest, it should be a holiday month. Do tell the board of education that 😉

But seriously, let’s see, do you want…

  1. A scary movie marathon? – Halloween
  2. To stuff yourself like there is no tomorrow? – Thanksgiving (admittedly not for all countries, Australia included, but I go along with it anyway ;))
  3. To have a night to let loose – Octoberfest

Baking & Bugs

Bonjour mes amis, I have a question to ask you all… don’t you absolutely love baking at night? In my case I love it especially when everyone is out but even when everyone is asleep, you can still just wiggle down in your jammies and no one will look at you with raised eyebrows when you eat the batter 😉 (more than one spoon… shhhh no one is looking)

So that was the kind of evening I envisioned for myself yesterday night when my family was out, my brother was asleep and it was just me, my impulse and a huge bag of chocolate chips, blocks and ingredients begging to be used 😀

My Guestpost: Jumbo Chocolate Fudge Cookies

When I say JUMBO, what do you think of? Elephants? Acceptable, they are big, fat and adorable.
Or maybe you think buildings, rollercoasters and other architectural wonders which just make life a little easier because c’mon, who can live without rollercoasters, sheesh…

Or maybe you think about food. I am just saying, ‘Jumbo’ is just too playful a word for impressive skyscrapers and frightening-hurling-to-your-doom rollercoasters, a little too cartoon-character for elephants.

They say that the best things in life comes to those who are patient. Those who are willing to work hard and persevere, like my school motto claims, shall reap great rewards.

Pfft. What do they know. Who in the world are ‘they’ anyway?

Out Of My Control

Ok so I actually had a really cool post planned out for you today, halfway written and everything 😀

Then, you will never guess, half way through writing BAM the computer froze and came up with some weird message. Not good… but then at the bottom I saw an ‘auto recovery angel’ and I just about kissed my computer!

After a quick reboot, I was still grinning to myself.

A Premature Happy Holidays!

OMG I am totally gushing, Merry Christmas everyone! Look see I brought presents, and cake, and cookies and… wait… it isn’t Christmas yet?

Bu… but… I don’t understand… I went into Myer the other day and they had huge Christmas trees up. I saw them! All beautiful, big and dripping with decorations like wet leaves on a dewy morning (yes, Christmas has a tendency to bring out my awesome poetic skills ;)). I mean, HOW CAN YOU SAY IT IS NOT CHRISTMAS. They already had the presents wrapped and sitting under the trees…

Oh… but the candy canes? And the delicious mince pies in every bakery… oh ok I understand. I thought Christmas came early this year…

CCU Undercover: Trip To Bowral

Just a reminder before beginning this post to go and enter my international giveaway in my last post 😀

*****************************************************************************

CCU yawned, all relaxed and invigorated after her much-too-long…. I suppose you could call it a holiday…. slightly 😉
Her stomach rumbled and she thought to herself, ‘how long had it been since she had visited a decent place?’

She swung out of bed, and just while brushing her teeth, she decided that, being sick of the whole city scene she was so used to and to appease her growling stomach, she would take a visit to the countryside… Little did she know she would be visiting more than one decent trip…
