CCU Undercover: Almond Bar

I’m sorry that this review wasn’t last post like i had planned, but I felt like I needed to write about the tragedy. Thanks for reading it and sharing your opinions and thoughts.

Now, onto nicer things… like HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE! 😀 😀

And also… my review… 🙂

Tucked away in the central streets of Darlinghurst, with full view of St Vincent’s hospital, is a quaint tiny place that is BOOMING with Mediterranean flavour inspired by beautiful Syria. You enter, it is comfy, you sit down, you get nice service, you taste the food and BAM!

You never want to leave again. I got you with those capitalised words didn’t I? Admit it 😉

Read on for a full review of a small but tasteful restaurant…

Frazzled

I am literally all over the shop. A metaphorical shop of course, I would love to own a little business though someday… Ok, I am being tangential once more, I told you I am all over the place! 😛

Yesterday, was quite literally (FYI, I will be using literally quite a bit in this post) the first day in ages I haven’t done anything. I sat at home, I watched Fawlty Towers and I ate so much junk food my head started turning.

It was literally, the best day ever. 😀 #noregrets

Guest Post #6: Lemon Shortbread & Nutella Sandwich Cookies

Hi everyone, can you believe it? Finally, I am this close to Graduation (Imagine me pinching my pointer finger with my thumb) 😀 – And with graduation comes performances, baking, class parties, baking, muck up days and lots of baking!

Before I graduate though, here I am ploughing through my workload because before every beautiful part of life, comes this hideous, clawing at your neck part known as my final exams. Eep! And because I cannot bake my butt off right now, I would like you to enjoy a huge range of wonderful guest posters especially chosen just for you!

So close to the end of school, I can taste it! Au revoir mes cheris!

R.I.P Cory Monteith – Though personally, I was never a Glee fan, I appreciated his multiple talents, and know his loss will be greatly felt by many.

So a couple of weeks ago, Aimee Hughes contacted me. A blogger from The Sexy Vegan Kitchen, she had released a new cookbook and asked me to review it! So I have decided to make 3 or 4 (depending on my time) recipes from her cookbook before giving it an overall review! 🙂

The name of Aimee’s fantastic cookbook is The Sexy Vegan Kitchen: Culinary Adventures In Love & Sex, and just like the title tells us, she does mix together the euphoric nature of sex with the deliciousness of her recipes to create a completely foodgasmic experiences, just begging you to read it and make its recipes!

In a couple of recipes time, I shall tell you a little about what this book offers,  the way it allows you to heal your skills in your love life and health life :)  – But shhhh, … Spoilers… (If you understand this reference to Doctor Who, you and I are already best friends by the way, not optional :D  )

Almond Popping Over Again

I swear, my house is a cookie baking factory this weekend – and none of them chocolate which should truly come as the biggest surprise!!! What is going on???
Well, anyways, do you remember me explaining my almond meal dilemma to you?

Yes well, I scrapped the traditional shortbread I was planning to make and opted for this delicious almond shortbread recipe from Joy of Baking – I obviously adore her almond cookies 🙂

68There is really not much to say about these cookies – as expected from any good shortbread, they have a melt in your mouth texture and crumble at the touch of a finger. Be warned that no matter how much you prick (mine is so holey it’s not funny!), your biscuit will definitely puff up at one stage and then suddenly deflate – no need to worry 😀
