Here’s S’more Irony

UPDATE 30th June: Sorry guys but my Food Buzz sharing does not seem to be working completely so I may not be able to comment on all the blogs I usually do – sorry about that! Hope it will be fixed soon 🙂

HIIIIII, GUESS WHO IS ON HOLIDAYZZZZZ (yeah, I’m kind of cool enough to put ‘z’ instead of ‘s’ :P)

smores stuff 15Do you want to know what this means? Like Joey would say ‘Yeah, you do!’ This means I will be posting just about every second day. Yea, lots more chocolate recipes for you 🙂
You want to know why? Because I can 🙂

You know what else? Already, I have revamped my recipe index – why? Because I can 😀

The Good & The Bad

Before I start this post: Sorry the pictures are not too pretty, it is a little hard with black skinned bananas 😛

******************************************************************************

You know what? More often than not, if you have a really good run going on in life, there will be something bad to stop your flow. I am not saying something bull-charging-towards-you bad but each day has a bittersweet element.

Of course we have those days that everything is sweet but they are evened out by those days that everything is bitter no?

CCU Undercover + Summer In Winter

Every student needs a break and this time, when I donned my trench coat and fedora (I really didn’t!) the sky was pure blue, the sun was shining, people were grinning and the Wallabies were winning – pretty cool huh? Gotta love those big buff boys (I know I do!)

We were sitting so close!!!

We were sitting so close!!!

There was so much atmosphere in the air, the stadium was totally packed and I legit lost my voice after screaming so much for the team! Yep, true I do not watch every rugby union game ever and yes, I do not get the sign language of the ref, but who cares because it just so so soo much fun!

But as much as I would love to talk about the green and gold spirit and the fact that Wales lost all three test matches against us (but whose counting? ;)), I do not think you are here to hear about that. I will admit though, grudgingly, that Wales lost only by 2-3 points each game but hey, loss is a loss no? 😉
Better luck next time (what a lie, I will still be rooting for Australia!)

I Love Thee, Microwaves!

Oh how I love you microwaves! You are the fastest, easiest machines in the world which work as both a grill and an oven now for me, especially these long hard days of studying! Wherever would I be without you melting Nutella for my ice cream or warming up chocolate chip cookies! 😀

That sauce is hot, sweet and perfectly hidden in the middle of the cake...

That sauce is hot, sweet and perfectly hidden in the middle of the cake…

Anyway, excuse my ode to the microwave, I am guessing by now you know why I did it anyway 😉
I have always had a soft spot for anything that can give me a smashing dessert in a matter of minutes – let it be my microwave, my grill, my fridge or even my mother 😀
I remember my first ever microwave cake, courtsey of course of Not Quite Nigella, and her 5 minute cheesecake has been bookmarked for too long already – I vouch for the cake, even though I have made literally tens of.. well ok dozens of variations of it, the base is always so fudgy and perfect, it is a wonder it comes out of the microwave.

Think Of The Positives

So you know that I am having my exams this week and next week. One this week, 4 next week. No justice right?

I am essaying it up in history and English, trying to understand the French news and right now, mathsing (yes it is a word… now ;)) like there is no tomorrow. Fun no?
No, actually not really, but I take solace in going through your blogs, commenting and basically enjoying myself as such as possible before I have to go and do some more work 😛

Birthday, Brownie, Crownie

You see the link? No? You will by the end of this post or my alias is not Choc Chip Uru 😉

Today is my friend, vous elle appelez (you call her) SM’s, 17th birthday. Oh my gosh, she is the first of us ALL (when I say us I mean my group :D) to turn 17. The big ONE-SEVEN. Am I getting confused with 18? No, I am most certainly not because the way we all see it, 12-16 are the fun teen years, 17 is bordering on *shudder* adulthood and then at 18… let’s not go there 😉

Attempting Silence

Look, let me be honest. I do not have many flaws. In fact, hah, it was very hard for me to come up with the one I will tell you about today. After all, I am just about 100% perfect.

pb fudge 16Wow, doesn’t someone need to eat some humble pie… 😉

Unlike the above description of yours truly, I do lots of things wrong, lots of weird things and well, am around 1% perfect – but that is what makes me human 😀 – and a question, is 1% perfect even possible???

Story Time, Story Time!

No, I am not a little child excited to be put to sleep by hearing Cinderella’s fairytale. I am excited to tell YOU all a very Indian story today!
For once (mind you, once only ;)), you do not have to bear my atrociaous plot lines like here and here because I am going to share with you one of my favourite stories EVER which is just so appropriate for what I have made to share with you all today!

It’s from an Indian comic book that I must have gotten maybe when I was 8-9 and kept for another 8, almost 9 years now (scary thought!) 😀
They are funny, classic and witty and I just can’t help but love them – I hope you do too!!!
