Guest Post: Herb Garden In Your Kitchen

Even after what may as well be a long leave of absence, I still haven’t really had the time to post, I’m sorry guys! And my big news is in the works, so I can’t reveal that yet either (though you can keep guessing 😉 )

I will be having a few guest posts and I miss going through your blogs (stalking more like it) but hope to back on soon!

Till then, enjoy this wonderful guest post by Kelsey Reaves, a very talented contributor at Modernize.com. I know a lot of you, with being incredible chefs, are very big fans of gardening, so I thought this guest post would be a great way to integrate the one’s green thumb with their… cooking thumb? Well… you get my gist right? 😉

Till later mes amis, and enjoy this wonderful post!

A Tale of Bad Drivers

These are the healthiest and tastiest little packages of vegetables you can come across. Steamed? Check. Not oily? Check. Full of veggies? Check. You could literally eat a basketful and it would still be acceptable. How do I know this? Well, because the first time I ever made this recipe, I basically ate that much, and I’m fine (if not better for it 😛 )

Read on for the recipe!

Food Porn

This post is actually going to start off more depressing than the title would have you know, so just be warned. The title is actually referring to the beauteous… um… beauty… of this salty, buttery ice cream that reminds you of dipping popcorn into your soft serve at the movies.

OH YEAH BABY! Sorry did I just foodgasm too loud for polite society? 😛

It is creamy and delicious, with a lot of different ways of changing it up for an even more fun treat. Keep reading to see more 🙂

Since it has been such an awfully long time since I have gotten in touch with my inner vegan, I thought it would be an awesome time to reintroduce you to this awesome link up event which, literally, has only grown bigger since the last time! Basically, I know you all have met Annie from Unrefined Vegan, and she organises and oversees everyone in a long chain of bloggers all sharing vegan recipes!

Guest Post: ShenANNAgans

It is officially socialising time – parties, gatherings, theme parks and just chilling well… everywhere! I have been baking a little but give me a week more and I will return 😀

Just a note though to all you lovely people, my comments have for some reason been going into spam for a LOT of your blogs! I am looking into getting it fixed but till then, I promise I am still visiting and loving every minute! Be sure to check your box and unspam me though!! If I have liked your post, most probably a comment will be in your spam 😛

Anyways, so now we have two more guest posts left, and I would love to introduce you all to Anna from ShenANNAgans! A mix of fabulous recipes, life stories and classy events with a massive douse of humour each time, her blog is one of my favourites!

‘Catch Me If You Can!’

So you may all remember that I posted up a lovely little salad recipe a little while back and introduced you all to the very essence of what it is to be a uni student. In terms, of course, of the fact that we are perpetually starving 24 hours a day (or however long we actually are at uni :P)

Well, since this is part of Ala @Wallflour Girl‘s fantastic link up part for all #undergradstudentbloggers and #gradstudentbloggers, we also have a new theme for each time we post up!

I am guessing the title is giveaway enough so let’s see if you can indeed keep up with this part of the student blogger series 😀

CCU Undercover: Your Fork

CCUUUUUUUU’ – her mother was screaming at her. Again. But could she really blame her? After all, she was sitting in her pyjamas not doing anything. Again. An empty carton of what used to be Chinese takeaway sat sadly on her bedside table.

Guess it’s time to reorder that, CCU mused. Her parents were out for the night so looked like she was getting takeaway again. I mean, sure baking is all good, but what even IS savoury food?

Just as she was about to find the restaurant online, her laptop began to fizz. It began to bubble. Her internet sparked. Suddenly, she was transported to a whole other site than the Chinese restaurant she was virtually going to!

She read it out loud to herself, a little perplexed. “Delivery at home… mumble mumble… fresh ingredients… mumble… homemade easy dishes…’

She found herself grinning, as her interest was piqued, and she threw the Chinese takeaway into the bin!

That did not really happen. Not at all. And disclaimer alert: I am all for Chinese takeaway!

Let me admit now, I am a staunch lover of takeaway and dining out.

I love it when I am out with my friends, and we are sipping cocktails and waiting for our tapas. I love it when I am coming home from uni and take a quick swerve into a very greasy driveway (in more ways than one) for satisfying trans-fats.

The Sexy Vegan Kitchen #2: Sweet & Innocent Strawberry Shortcake Smoothie

So a couple of weeks ago, Aimee Hughes contacted me. A blogger from The Sexy Vegan Kitchen, she had released a new cookbook and asked me to review it! So I have decided to make 3 or 4 (depending on my time) recipes from her cookbook before giving it an overall review! 🙂

The name of Aimee’s fantastic cookbook is The Sexy Vegan Kitchen: Culinary Adventures In Love & Sex, and just like the title tells us, she does mix together the euphoric nature of sex with the deliciousness of her recipes to create a completely foodgasmic experiences, just begging you to read it and make its recipes!

In a couple of recipes time, I shall tell you a little about what this book offers,  the way it allows you to heal your skills in your love life and health life 🙂 – But shhhh, … Spoilers… (If you understand this reference to Doctor Who, you and I are already best friends by the way, not optional 😀 )

Enjoy the foodgasmic journey Aimee takes us on!

Helping Snow White

So the other night, the Disney Princesses had this girly-girl, no fancy-shmancy husband princes allowed slumber party! All the cool princesses were allowed, not those 21st century ones, I mean, Ariel wanted to invite them but that is only because she met the Frog Princess while she was a Frog.  Not the done thing at all (because that froggy smell still stuck to her… poor thing :P)

Anyway, here are the invites:

Think Of The Positives

So you know that I am having my exams this week and next week. One this week, 4 next week. No justice right?

I am essaying it up in history and English, trying to understand the French news and right now, mathsing (yes it is a word… now ;)) like there is no tomorrow. Fun no?
No, actually not really, but I take solace in going through your blogs, commenting and basically enjoying myself as such as possible before I have to go and do some more work 😛
